Washburn has a shiner!

Last night I got home after having a glass of wine with my friend Mark at Nesai, and Nikita was sitting at the door, looking forlorn. I discovered Jim was in the bathroom mopping up the blood from his knee and head. It seems he was out walking her, trotting across the boulevard, and tripped over her and subsequently did a header on the pavement. His right cheek hit the ground first, then his shoulder, and then his left knee. All three places are skinned to the bone and he is a mess! Ouch!

He is going to have one hell of a black eye! I hope no one thinks I hit him! I patched up his knee and shoulder with bandages, and we've been putting ice on his eye and cheek. Damn! His shoulder is really bruised, too!

I guess he needs to wear a helmet and kneepads from now on when they go for walks!
